Depending on the number of grafts to be planted, the operation time will vary between 4-8 hours.

The PRP treatment helps for faster and healthier hair growth after the transplant. It is advisable to have 3 sessions with 3 months of interval for an excellent result. The first PRP session is done by our medical team in our hospital. 

Certainly. If a woman suffers hair loss she can have transplantation if the preliminary tests prove that she is eligible.

• People who have a considerable hair loss like 50% or more.
• People who are eligible in terms of health conditions explained in our Patient Guide.
• People who have enough grafts in the donor area. Please note that grafts can be collected from the beard and the chest if necessary.
• Usually people between 20 – 70. But actually there is no age limit if conditions allow transplantation.

As explained in our Pateient Guide we determine whether your health condition allows you to have a transplantation. There are tests that we carry out in the first place to determine your eligibility.

Hair transplantation is performed with sedation FUE SAPPHIRE method together with expert dermatologist and hair transplantation team. The transplantation process is performed in a highly sterilized operation room with hepa filters in a hygienic clinical environment with special devices and techniques.

The number of grafts depends on the density of hair in the bald and recessed area. Normally between 3000-6500 grafts can be planted in one session.

It is possible to have more than one session with a certain interval like1 to 2 years. Additional sessions can be performed to have a denser look or if the whole bald area cannot be covered in one operation.

As hair transplantation is done under sedation, the patient does not feel any major discomfort. He remains conscious and can listen to music or watch TV during the operation. The patient can choose to have COMFORT anesthesia where no needles are used but pressurized medication is applied and therefore the discomfort is further minimized.

Although you may have some edemas shortly after the treatment they will disappear very quickly and eventually, no scars will be left.

In HAIRBORN we offer the option of DHI technique where you will not have to shave your hair. Different tools are used in this technique. The process takes a couple of hours longer and the maximum number of grafts with this technique is limited to 3000.

After the hair transplantation process is completed, you can resume your daily life.

• After hair transplantation, the doctor's recommendations should be followed exactly. The post-operative process is explained to the patient in detail.
• Particularly during the first 48 hours, the head area should be protected from physical impacts and harmful sun rays. Hats that sit on the head but do not touch the area where the transplantation has been performed could be used.

Since the operation is carried out in a fully equipped hospital in a sterile environment, by experienced professionals, the risk element is close to none. Normally, we do not expect any complications after the operation, nevertheless, the medical team of our Israeli clinic will always be at your disposition for post-operation care.

Normally, the implanted hair will fall off within two months and new hair will begin to grow within 4 months and within 12 months it will fill up completely and have a totally normal appearance.

• Do not wear a hat or bandana except for the one provided by Hairborn for 20 days as these will damage the planted hair.
• Do not be exposed to the sun for this period and go out only when the sun is weak.
• Avoid vigorous exercises so that you will not sweat during this period.
• Use the recommended drugs and solutions.
• Do not worry about edema that may form. This is something expected and it will disappear without any permanent effect.
• Additional 3 PRP treatments with 3 months intervals (to be done by our Israeli preferred partners) will expedite the healing time and improve hair quality.
• Generally, one month after hair transplantation, sudden hair loss occurs and nearly 80% of the hair is lost.
• You will start to have a normal appearance in about 6 months.
• Within a year full recovery will take place.
