PRE EXAMINATION ASSESSMENT Consultation (Diagnosis)

Once the patient decides to have the transplant with Hairborn, there are some examinations that must be carried out. These examinations consist of HIV, HCV, HbsAg, Hemoglobin A1C  (The test to determine if the candidate is a Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes patient – if the value is below 7.5 the transplantation can be performed). If everything is in line, then additional tests of hemograms, APTT, and Prothrombin time are performed in Istanbul.

FURTHER TESTS AND ANALYSIS

The first phase at this stage is to have the consent of the patient about the way his hairline will look after the operation.  Depending on the wish of the patient,  alternative modelings (drawings) are done.

The next step is to have the hair and skin examinations.

The type of grafts from the donor area is examined to determine the number of roots per graft (single, double, triple). The advantage of this is to have a more natural look at the end of the transplant. The triple grafts are transplanted in the frontal area with double grafts added in between. The double grafts are planted in the top area with single grafts added in between. The patient is informed about the number of grafts that will be planted per square cm and the area of application.

Finally, a confirmation sheet is completed and signed by the patient.
